We welcome expressions of interest from volunteer law students. Our work is highly specialised, so preference is given to those who have studied Environmental Law as a subject in South Australia.
Law student volunteers answer the phones, undertake legal research, assist on casework and projects and carry out administrative tasks.
We ask you to commit to a weekly or fortnightly routine for a set period of time or commit to a specific task to be completed within an agreed period of time.
We view volunteering as a two way street – you undertake interesting and worthwhile work that helps you build your skills and knowledge, EDO and its clients benefit from the work being done quickly and effectively, freeing up the EDO lawyers to undertake more complex work.
Unfortunately, due to resource constraints, we are unable to accept work experience secondary students.
Who should apply?
Students seeking to volunteer with the EDO must have studied environmental law subjects and have an interest in environmental issues.
